Thunderbird Farms consists of 54 acres located at 13 Van Sickle Road in Pine Island, New York and occupies a historically significant site on Black Walnut Island 2, an area with deep archaeological relevance. This land is part of the Black Dirt Region of the Wallkill River Valley and possesses notable archaeological integrity, with well-preserved and documented features that showcase significant aspects of pre-contact Native American life and the seasonal campsites that once existed.
Thunderbird Farms’ location, with its intact archaeological record, offers a rare and valuable window into the past, providing insights into how prehistoric peoples interacted with their environment over thousands of years.
Nestled on a beautiful historic property, we’re proud to grow our own crops, including sunflowers, corn, pumpkins, and a variety of vegetables. In addition to farming, we host a variety of seasonal events, with our most popular being the Haunted Boo Barn & Trails. The beauty of our Sunflower Fields is so stunning that we host Sunflower Festivals to share the breathtaking sights with you!
During these events, our rustic bar offers a selection of local beer, wine, and cider, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy. Guests can also indulge in delicious treats from our on-site food truck and donut shack, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
